The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) provides a gateway to Children's Hospital Boston researchers and technologies in all major biomedical disciplines for both pediatric and adult markets. The IPO facilitates the transfer of patentable and non-patentable intellectual property, research tools, know-how, and other technologies to industry through exclusive and non-exclusive licenses, option agreements, and the formation of start-up companies.

The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (MEEI) is an independent teaching hospital affiliated with the Harvard Medical School that specializes in diseases and disorders of the eye, ear, nose, head, neck and throat. Although generally researchers are all faculty members of HMS, the inventions of MEEI researchers are owned by MEEI. Pending and issued patents related to hearing, vision, drug delivery, voice and balance impairments, neural prostheses, medical devices, and audiological systems are available for possible licensing.

The Office for Technology Licensing and Industry Collaboration (OTL&IC) is responsible for facilitating the transfer of Tufts technology for public use and benefit. OTL&IC evaluates, obtains proprietary protection for, and assists in the distribution of technology for research and commercial purposes.
