Summary
The Manager of Precision Medicine and Companion Diagnostics will support our Companion Diagnostic Leads in implementing strategies for multiple late and early-stage clinical oncology development programs. The successful candidate must possess excellent assay development and project management skills. The primary role of this position will include developing and operationalizing clinical trial assays through close collaboration with partner companies as well as members of the Biomarker Data Management, Clinical Development, and Regulatory functions. This position has the option of being based remotely or in either of our Seattle area, or South San Francisco offices.
Responsibilities:
- Working with partners to develop analytically validated clinical trial assays
- Managing clinical trial assay result workflow
- Authoring and reviewing trial protocols, ICF’s and assay sections of regulatory documents
- Key member of clinical study teams
- Building expertise in companion diagnostic workflows
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a Ph.D. or MD with 2-3 years relevant industry experience
- Expertise in assay methodologies such as in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, PCR, and NGS
- Experience communicating development plans, issues, and risks in written and verbal format
- General understanding of biomarker specimen and data management and device regulatory knowledge
- Highly collaborative team player who fosters open communication and facilitates mutual understanding and cooperation between all stakeholders
- Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
