Summary:

Seagen is looking for a versatile marketing team member to lead a growing oncology brand in our portfolio and to support the development of commercial assessments for new product launches in Canada. Primary accountabilities of this position will include the planning and execution of commercial tactics to maximize the growth of a new oncology brand, as well as leading research and insight collection to build Canadian-specific product opportunity assessments. The role requires excellent communication skills, clinical acumen, leadership and a proven ability to collaborate across the organization.  This position will report to the Director of Marketing and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and the Canadian Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning & leading tactical projects from internal approval through to external deployment
  • Partnering with sales organization to train and execute on brand strategy and messaging
  • Managing program budgets and developing metrics to ensure success of commercial investments
  • Contributing to brand strategic decisions based on market research, competitive intelligence, advisory boards, and emerging clinical data
  • Lead commercial brand planning and execution
  • Research and develop insights on external environment for new oncology launches, including competitive landscape, market requirements, and opportunities
  • Support commercial operations partners in developing forecasting assumptions and models
  • Complete market opportunity assessments and provide recommendations to Canadian Leadership Team
  • Working collaboratively and effectively with all internal and external partners and stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 yrs of commercial biotech or pharmaceutical marketing and sales experience
  • Oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in market research or forecast development, an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to develop actionable insights from complex clinical data and market research  Strong clinical acumen and knowledge of product development, regulatory, clinical, and medical affairs
  • Knowledge of marketplace regulations and PAAB promotional policy
  • Strong leadership and ability to influence without authority across functional stakeholders to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure strong execution
  • Experience with the management of external agencies as well as project plans and budgets
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
  • Undergraduate degree
